The Kiribathgoda Kelani Young Men's Buddhist Association is not merely an organization, but a hub that nourishes the spiritual and social virtues of the youth in the area. In a challenging era like the present, guiding the energy of the youth onto the right path in accordance with the values taught in Buddhism is a timely need.

Appreciating the Service of the Association
Since its inception, our association has been dedicated to:

Propagation of Dhamma: Spreading the essence of Buddhism among the younger generation.

Social Services: Providing relief to those facing hardships in the area.

Personality Development: Producing disciplined citizens equipped with leadership qualities.

Furthermore, the association, which provides religious, social, educational, and cultural services, conducts its activities based on five main objectives:

Facilitating the spread and learning of Buddhism.

Inspiring and encouraging the practical observance of Buddhism.

Enhancing unity and cooperation among Buddhists.

Cultivating moral, cultural, physical, and social development within Buddhists.

Protecting and nurturing Buddhism.

As a Patron Monk, I recall with immense pleasure the dedication of the Kiribathgoda Kelani Young Men's Buddhist Association towards these noble tasks while fulfilling the above objectives.

The Vision for the Future
I urge the youth members of the association to strive to protect their identity, which is rooted in Buddhist values, even while arming themselves with technology and modernity. No matter how fast the world changes, the Buddhist way of life based on compassion, loving-kindness, and patience will never become obsolete.
